So I bought into the new LWCG stick packability - I saddle hunt so didn't care about the stand- but am having difficulty crating aiders for them. The way they all attach to the side made me abandon the 1 inch tubular webbing girth hitch (they would no longer for snugly when packing in and out).
I tired using amsteel to make a knaider at the bottom and then it also serves to hook the sticks onto my saddle while climbing, but I was attaching through the stick....since it was so close to the tree it was really hard to lock into the loop on the way down. Anyone else solve this issue? I tried to attach something directly to the bottom step, but it slipped out from the tree-coukd have been used error but now I'm gunshy. I know this can't be as difficult as I'm making it...

More pictures. The amsteel on the step was going to be my knaider, but the stick slipped...the aider with tubular webbing is so darn close to the tree it is extremely difficult to find on the way down (excuse that there isn't a rigid step in it...there will be if I go that route. I have one but it didn't make it any easier to get my boot into.

Put a carabiner on one end of your wider and just clip it to the strap holding your stick to the tree. Go to 6:40 in this video to see what I mean

What if you run the webbing through the slit in the stick above your step?

This way it looks like it won't mess with the packability of the folding step or standoff

Have you thought about just using a moveable aider? It could be just me but I attached some single step aiders to a set of sticks and took them off because they annoyed me when I was trying to pack them back up.

I don't like the extra steps if I can get away with it. The knaider was a fav of mine due to it being connected to you and then just having a small attachent point on each step.
