Never used the predator but i had an Assassin and like the Ambush better. I loved the Assassin but love the lighter weight of the Ambush. It's rock solid and all the room you could ask for.

I’ve owned both and I recently sold the predator and kept the ambush. The ambush is a great platform! Obviously it’s heavier than other platforms out there but I’ll trade a little weight for comfort all day. I also like how it can pack sticks if you go that route.

The ambush spoiled me last year. Throw 2 mini sticks on the tree standing on the ground, put the ambush on my back, climb up with the third stick in my hand, set it and the platform, and youre done. Takes all of 5 minutes to setup. Hunting for stupid and lazy people. :)
 
I had noise issues with the Ambush. I tried many ways of setting the platform but once I was in it for more than an hour or so, a rubbing noise would develop. I ended up selling it which was too bad because I really wanted to like it.
Now I'm looking to buy the Mission as soon as it's released (hoping it's equal to the old Assassin I had).
 
I have the predator and ambush. Love the size of the ambush and when you cam lock it properly it holds down just as well if not better than the predator. However, it’s tough for me to get away from the compactness of the predator on my pack. It fits perfect. I also like to climb with two sticks and the platform attached to my saddle. I can’t figure out a way to do it with the ambush without it clashing with the sticks.
 
Thanks for all the great information guys!! I’m definitely leaning towards buying one. I wouldn’t mind having something a little bigger then the predator. Can you pack any sticks to the platform?

definitely. I know guys use the LWGC minis and love the combo. I have four 20" shikars that i can attach to the pack as well.
