Madrock safeguard rope

Do you leave the climbing line attached to the tree then too? I've always just disconnected the climbing line after hook up to the tether and put the rope into the backpack.

Climbing line and separate tether. It did not get in the way of the shot I took with an xbow on Tuesday over my right shoulder at 5 o'clock position and I am right handed.

What's the pipe for. Do you use that to place your rope exactly where you want it

Sometimes you might need to reposition your main rope, but generally mine stays on the tree. Either neatly coiled in my pack or on a convenient branch.

Thanks guys. I usually overly complicate stuff and sometimes I don't see the simple solution.

That's four 2.5 foot sections of PVC electrical tubing that join together to make the original 10 foot piece. I use that to push my rope 15 feet up the tree in one stage. I am quite happy with the performance. I am having a bit of trouble developing a method to push it further up. I am hampered mostly by branches further up or the leaf canopy making visibility worse at higher levels. I don't really know if I have to go higher. The deer last Tuesday didn't show any evidence they knew I was there at a platform height of about 12 feet. I posted about the development of this previously on SaddleHunter.
