Making a muddy stick lighter

I want to give one sticking a try and want to use my muddy stick bc of rope cam and ease of reaching down to remove.

But it is pretty heavy.

I was thinking of replacing steps with DanO fixed double step. It seems like that's where most the extra weight is.

Before I accidentally destroy one of my muddy sticks, I figured I'd ask the group if anyone has tried this or similar to lighten up this beast of a stick...

I’d just sell your muddy, which is in high demand, and use the funds to build a double step stick. You’d break even or real close to it. And a lot less hassle.

Build your own stick the way you want it. I did and am very happy.

But he wants the cam cleat muddy uses. You should be able to change out the steps to save some weight, maybe cut a few inches off the stick while your at it and use aiders???

You can buy your own cam cleat. I made my own to one stick and sold one of my Lone Wolf sets.

I just added some steps and Danos standoffs back when I still used mine. Took like 10 mins.
