Hey guys is this a big concern on my bridge. I bought it from a member here and wanted to make sure it was not an issue.

Looks like it could be the bury protruding ? If so, you don't have to worry 'bout a thing, it's purely cosmetic

Bunch it up and make sure the outer amsteel is fine. If it’s just the inner bury sticking through, that’s normal. If the outer amsteel is fraying, replace.

That’s just the inner bury of the splice. Completely normal.

Samson recommends taping the tail on a locked brummel. On an eye splice Samson recommends taking the tape off and tapering the tail. Also on an eye splice they recommend lock stitching which keeps the tail from slipping. I'm guessing on a locked brummel the tail shifts back and forth as you tension and release causing some of the tail to pop out.
