That’s how I do it too. Cinch it tight as I can in the”red” position while walking.Like this: red = walking position
Blue = hanging position

I’m having same problem but with the TL Ambush lite. Walking and climbing it’s loosening. I’m finding that if I take the tag end and run it under and over the top of the main strap, there’s no movement. The belt system on the TL is awful compared to the Mantis. There’s no quick release. It’s like the belt system on the safety harness that comes with the tree stands. lol. I’m modifying my belt with a quick release buckle and thinking of adding work belt suspenders.

I added a raptor buckle on my Kite after watching DaveT’s Kestrel comparison video. However, the thing is noisy as all get out, I’m talking jingle bells. That metal bar is definitely loose in mine, and would cause the waist belt to loosen enough while walking that the saddle would drop to my ankles. I wrapped the center bar with camo duck tape and it snugged it up a little too good. Yes I can lift the bar up inside the buckle enough to wrap tape all the way around it. But at least it’s quiet now.
Yes, I got a recon sling. In all seriousness. I tried wrapping the female end of the buckle and the bar on the inside in tape but that didn’t last long. It was only really an issue when there was enough slack in the belt to let it “flop” around. So I just kept the belt tight as much as possible (definitely a conscious effort to keep the belt tight as it wanted to loosen itself when not under tension) and to my knowledge never had it make enough noise to worry a deer (but that’s not saying much either with my kill record).Did you find a solution to this problem? I am having the same problem.
