I guess I spoke too soon. My Predator was shipped on 1/2/19 and I just received it this afternoon. I could only just quickly check it out because I had to leave for work but it looks awesome. I believe the only things I’ll need to do is paint and put on the predatail.
Thank you Tethrd!

My arrived today as well. I'm new to saddle hunting and have only had 2 hunts out of it( both where 3.5 hour leans). I just used the top of my stick for a platform.......I just did a test run on the Predator in the yard - it's awesome. I see now how rough I had it just standing on the top stick. I definitely want to pant this thing too. How do I prep/treat the metal before I paint?

I think it’s ready for paint the way it is. The rough cast finish will hold the paint well. I guess you could degrease it with some cleaner but I’m just going to paint.

I didn't do any special prep to mine before I did the sponge paint job on it using some general spray paint. That paint didn't flake off after a season of use.

I shot a coat of primer on mine but honestly I don’t think I really needed to. Mine turned out great. Go check out “painting predator platform with sponge method” I have some pictures of it on there and also how I did it

The mantis won’t melt will it? just got mine last night, it’s pouring out, but I don’t think I can wait to try this thing!

Found out last night my wife ordered me the kit for a surprise.. I sold some hunting gear and told her I was going to order one and she let the cat out of the bag, worked well for her she got a new Apple Watch out of the deal lol... Anyway she ordered it December 22 #25512 hoping to get it before the end of January so I can try it out before our season closes..

When you live in MN and you get your tethrd gear the next day.
