I respect the forum's position on not being a commercial outlet for saddle manufacturers. However, as a consumer of those products I think that the site could benefit from a separate forum that is not open to critique or comment, but simply a place where we the members / lurkers could view what is available in the marketplace. Things like strength testing videos, climbing demos, new product launches, etc. For me personally, the DIY projects are the most valuable portion of the site, but many of those DIY projects are transitioning to commercial ventures, which is great but then it becomes more difficult to follow. If there were a way of creating a thread that only manufacturers could submit their products and content, I think it would be a good addition to the site without creating favoritism toward any particular manufacturer.
