Has anyone used one of these, possibly with WE steps? Seems like you would only have to set the length once (even though it is easily adjustable). I have only been able to find one video re its use and that was with a rock climbing application and it's pretty grainy.

 
I own this item, but have not used it much. I don't use WE Stepps, but can see that as being a good use for that style aider. Its pretty easy to use. I just climb mostly bolts. If you have any particular questions I can try to answer.
 
I have one. I think @Ontariofarmer has one. They're a pretty nice item. I've hacked mine up to try out some DIY ideas but generally the foot hold is very big, comfy and easy to keep on.
 
Thanks for your thoughts, guys. I'll head out to the local park and mess with it. It folds up nice and small.
 
Mine has an auto locking / twist lock carabiner. I think that's the way to go with these.
