Milkweed Dispenser

Using a paper clip or??
I use a little badge clip, alligator clip, etc. Makes it versatile as to where you need to clip it.
The earlier post that showed the pod on the bow was interesting but I hang my bow and it's often an arm-length away. That reaching movement can be a killer. Stop and think about it. Where do you keep your hands 99% of the hunt? Usually in your coat pocket or resting on your tether...hands are usually right in from of you. That is where you want your floaters. Minimal movement to release a floater. Just because we may not want to shoot a particular deer that's in our shooting lane, does not mean there isn't a good reason to release a floater. Reaching for the pod or container to pluck a floater is not something that you want to do. You want the pod inches away from the position your hands are in for the majority of the day. In my case, it's clipped right beside my right coat pocket.
It's just little details that make or break a hunt. Little things add up.

The rubber band keeps them from busting open.
You "container" guys are making this a lot more complicated than it is. I've been using milkweed for over 30 years. Leave them in the pod, put a rubber band around it and add a clip to it so you can position it on your coat, tether, etc and access it with minimal movement. When deer are in your lap, you don't have the luxury of reaching for your pack, Molly loops or wherever.
When you leave them in the pod there's no lid to open or close or loose. Plus, a pristine floater straight from the pod will float better under ultra light wind conditions than one that has been stuffed into a container.
I used exactly what use! I made alligator clips and all. Works fine.....but I have mashed up the pods accidentally. Using the purse is super easy and clips to me somewhere and is kinda water resistant and compact. I know the pods are great but I changed this year and so far I like it.......maybe I'll change back later. Still got a few rubber banded ready to rock....LOL

Feed me Taco Bell and I'll show you a pristine floater.

I’m a “container guy” because:
1) no worry of the milkweed getting wet in the rain
2) I can shove several pods worth into a tube and never have to worry about running out in a season

Carry a spare pod.

Nothing complicated about having it all in one place in a “container”

Also nothing wrong with carrying spare pods if that’s what you want.

But you’ll think of us container guys next time you are fiddling with those rubber bands with deer “in your lap”

Im a 30 year milkweed user. I think I have it figured out.

Glad you have it figured out. You certainly have more experience than I do.
Heck I’ve only been alive 30 years.
But if there’s one thing I’ve learned in those 30 years, it’s that milkweed is not a topic worthy of an argument.
Best of luck this season.

I'm not arguing, just discussing and trying to be helpful.
Hey, saddlehunters donated over $2,000 to charity because of the pods I shipped out last year. I'd like to beat that amount this year. I want guys to be totally satisfied with milkweed. Mother Nature devised floaters to drift the best right out of the pod...in their pristine condition. Stuffing them in a container is not getting the most out of them.

That’s what saddlehunter is great for—bouncing ideas around. Just important not to come across condescending.

I think what you’re doing with the pods for a cause is GREAT. I’d recommend anyone who doesn’t have milkweed available to buy some from you for the cause. Whether they stuff it all in a container or use them in nature’s sheath is up to them.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us all.

Bought a couple change purses on Amazon (clear). I have them different places but the handiest is zip tied to my riser. It's hanging in front of me and very little movement needed to pull them out. It will hold a whole pod.Resized_20231116_155337_6700.jpegResized_20231116_155337_6700.jpeg
