Rubber band wrapped on the pod at just the right amount of tightness. Keep it on there while the pods dry. When you hunt, you roll down the rubber band part way to allow the floaters to be plucked out. They pull out like kleenex.I picked a dozen of them during the summer and put them in a paper bag. Later when I opened the bag and checked on them they had opened up and the floaters were everywhere so I had no choice but to put it in a container. Used the rubber coin purse works great. How do you keep the pods from opening?
I put a clip on the pod so I can hang it off my coat for easy access with minimal movement.
I'm telling you guys...I've used milkweed for more years than a lot of you
have been alive. Add a clip and leave the floaters in the pod.
