I think I’m really going to like this setup this season. Gonna take it on a couple dry runs while I scout this month. I take too much crap in the woods anyway especially early season so I’m ditching the pack and going with a small fanny pack. I’m a little late to the large platform game but this thing feels like a 2 bedroom condo on the tree.

And what straps are those? Looks like a really slick setup.

What is the pad you're using? Something you made?
It’s a tree stand/turkey seat I got from Walmart, I think it was like $12. Just laid the Mission on top and cut the square for the hump to fit into. I had some quick connect straps I got from Amazon to hold it to the platform. The pad and straps will double as my knee pad on the tree.

Backpack straps are these I got off Ebay. Took advantage of the “or best offer” function and got them for $14 instead of the buy it now for $20. The seller had 3 or 4 different colors if you’re more of a coyote tan guy.

The only hiccup I had was the straps didn’t come with a tri-glide to loop and attach the backpack straps to the bottom of the stand but the Amazon straps I bought came with some on them, so I just slid those off and used the on the bottom backpack straps since they weren’t needed for my pad straps.

Literally just were delivered last night - the SAME backpack straps with the SAME $14 offer for my Hush! Too funny! :tearsofjoy:

Do your straps not have a loop at the bottom that you girth hitch the (unclipped) buckle through?

Right on man a dollar saved is a dollar earned! Goodness knows I’ve wasted more money than that on dumber stuff.

Yeah they do have strap but I was having a hard time working out how to attach it. Probably dumb of me but you might could do it without a tri-glide. The strap is folded over 3 times and stitched at the end and it wasn’t feeding through very easily, so I cut that off and burned the end. Saved me some headache.

Man looking at it you’re exactly right. I never thought to girth hitch it through the big loop, I assumed that was for your thumbs to take slack out of the straps once it was on. So yeah you could def do it without an extra tri-glide. I feel dumb now haha but whatever it works.

I’ve been looking for some of those clippy straps for months…. Sometimes you just stumble upon exactly what you’re looking for.

Thanks for looking out!
