Mobile platform option

I have found a cool option for a mobile platform so I thought I’d share it.
I got it from a guy named Zach who has a company called “Artisan outdoor fabrications &metal craft”. He makes small aluminum platforms that bolt on to the top of your climbing stick.

It makes it super mobile because all I need is 3 sticks when I go out. I have hawk helium sticks and they take side pressure really well. Now I have not used a traditional platform, but I can say this platform is pretty comfortable.

Nice! I was thinking of something similar like this on my LW stick. Plus another idea, that I need to vet out.

That seems like a great solution. I’ve been trying to think of a way to take the one stick method and eliminate the other piece of hardware (I.e. hang on seat) so that I only need the one stick and it’s all ripe and harness after that

I use one on top of my LW stick for one sticking and no matter how hard I crank those bolts down I get a little shift when I step on either side. It has me worried about shearing the bolts to the point that I quit using it.

When looking at it, is it flush to the top of the stick? Otherwise your weight may be resting on the bolts and not the stick itself

It is NOT flush to the stick and the weight is without a doubt on the bolts instead of the stick. Which is what's bugging me, if this platform is designed for my stick. The bolt pattern works, its just placed too high and won't fit any other way.

This is the route I've been thinking about going. Glad to hear that they are working out. I have the Hawk Helium also

The bolt holes really should be a slot so it can slide down till it sits on the stick, might be an easy thing to fix yourself with a $20 angle grinder from Walmart. Good suggestion for the guy making them too.

The improved hole design is a good idea that he may need to modified. I have not had had an issue but I have only used it 1 season. Either way, I thinks it’s unlikely for both bolts to brake at the same time. But I guess when you use the normal steps on the sticks you are just resting on the bolts too.

and yes, $65
