Has anyone modified a fanny pack set up to be used in conjunction with a saddle and to double as a backrest?

I'm thinking of getting the scentlok trek pack pro, shortening the vertical straps so it rides a touch higher on my lower/middle back, and attaching some loops to tie it in to my teather once at height. It seems to me like it could work but I was hoping someone has attempted something similar so that I can avoid wasted time/$$. Or that one of you might see something I'm overlooking that will prohibit functionality or comfort.

Thanks

I think it sounds like a legit plan. Only thing is getting stuff out of it once it’s in back strap mode lol. Worth a shot! I love my fanny setup plan to use it agin this year along with other packs!

Thats a good point. I'm going to have to make it easily adjustable in/out of back strap mode so that I can get in and out of the pack if I need to. Most of what I will frequently need will be carried in the pack for the walk in and than removed once I'm in the tree, but access would definitely be an issue I need to address.

Thanks Shane

no problem man always nice to have different options and options to go with. Someone is always coming up with a better idea to do things. That’s why this site is awesome!
