I cut the front off of an old loggy bayou climber and took most of the seat parts off... As it is now it weighs around 8 pounds.. I think I could get it down around 6 pounds without seat bar and strap... but as it is now I can use the ratchet strap that came with stand to ratchet seat bar down to base to lock it into the tree solid.. probably going to change ratchet to cam buckle strap though... afraid to do to much more trimming on it though to save weight.. any ideas? I could maybe save very little by cutting down metal band a little.. I haven't used it yet.. but got a good deal on it. I used one for years and it always climbed good and was solid... you just have to watch the spring loaded pins for the band....but that's another story...lol
