Modifying LW stick to mini stick question

Hello all. Just getting into the saddle hunting game and have a question. My TL mission platform came the other day and looks great. I'm going to give one stickin' a try this season after trying my buddy's setup. I have enough LW sticks where I don't mind sacrificing one to cut down into a mini stick. Here's the question.

I'm torn between cutting my existing LW stick down to the exact specs as the Novix minis so I can attach it to the Mission platform as it was meant to be or going with longer mini stick. Would I be better off cutting it down that short so I can attach it with the platform or would you go with a "longer" mini stick? Going longer, I won't be able to attach to the platform as it was designed obviously and don't want it hanging far off each side either. I definitely want to add an aider if not a double aider. I plan on buying Dano's double steps for top and bottom steps of my stick.

I would cut it down to a mini and then get a three step aider. Each step would be 12-15" and that would give me almost 5' per stick placement. This what I do and found that it works best with a three step aider and each step is exactly 12".

I'm a little skeptical of how a 2 step aider would work for me....never thought of a 3 step. You have any pics? I'm intrigued.

I'll take more pictures of the other sticks I use with three step aiders.

One shikar 17" with a three step aider, one mini shikar with a scout platform on top and a double step and a three step platform. Also have an EWO with a two or three step aider that is 15" each. I cannot remember on the EWO as it is not from backwoods mobile.

Enjoyed the video. Still trying to decide how short I want to go with mine.
I went the easy route and used as many factory holes as I could. I ended up drilling one extra hole per stick I think, I forget. The length they came out at seems to be just right, I feel a little less and they wouldn't grab a tree as great. Just a heads up!

I can get my feet to 5 1/2’ on my first placement. And about 4-4 1/2’ for each transition depending on branches and such.

My other sticks I use are my shikars. A mini and a 17” stick. My mini, I can easily get my feet to 5' and about 4' for each transition.
I had this setup in case I just want to use this as my climbing and platform.

My 17" I can use pretty well and can get my feet to 6' on the first transition...then 4-5' per transition depending on branches. My last
picture is of my 4 sticks and aiders. I'm probably going to sell my muddy pro and moveable aider (backwoods mobile) as I'm not going to use it. My son will use one of these other sticks.
