Moosejaw.com has a great deal on Mammut 8.0 mm Alpine Dry Climbing rope - it ends today though, so buy it while you can at this discounted price.
A 30 meter (98’) hank is just $88 after you use discount code “CLIMBING20” and shipping is free!
A few things to note:
1. It’s climbing rope, not static.
2. It’s certified as both “half” and “twin” rope, which makes it perfect for the JRB climbing method, but it’s not certified as “single” rope so be aware that it’s not certified for SRT climbing.
3. 30 meters weighs only 3 pounds.
4. It has a very similar hand (stiffness) to 9.0 mm Sterling C-IV Canyon rope
5. Sterling TRC 6mm hitch cord works well with it for all different types of friction hitches.
6. John RB recommended it as a good choice to use for his climbing method in another thread here:

The JRB Climbing Method
As far as storing your rope at height, I carry my rope in a canvas duck bag I made. Once at height, I clip the bag to my gear strap, pull my rope up and store it in the bag. That way it’s out of the way and less stuff swinging around attracting attention. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
