I know this is a lot of personal preference, but wanted to get some opinions. I’m a small guy and I’ve tried Trophyline Covert Lite, Latitiude Method, and Latitude Classic. I’ve had some issue with each and one doesn’t stand out as much more comfortable than the others. What should I try next?

Forgot to add TX5 minimalist to my list. I use that mainly with hang on stand.

I had a cruzr xc and to be honest I bought a saddle from Jamie at Overwatch Outdoors and couldn’t be happier. Super guy to deal with and a great product, not to mention he is using American made supplies. Give him a call, you won’t be disappointed. God Bless

Describe your bridge length and tether height typically as well as the angle your legs make to your stand. What platform or ROS are you using. What type of discomfort are you experiencing typically? Where are the pressure points or points of discomfort?

for reference i would consider myself a smaller guy as well....5'8'' 145lbs. cruzr xc has been extremely comfortable. I see where gcr0003 is headed...any discomfort i do feel is usually related more to things like tether position...for example....if i lean and have my friction hitch too high up on my tether i will get slight discomfort on back of my legs. lower a bit and im good, no fault of the saddle.

5'6 145 lbs. latitude classic and overwatch single panel have been the most comfortable for me, and i've tried a lot of saddles. besides the bridge and tether height, also adjusting the location where the bridge and saddle attach is key if you're going to sit vs lean.

I’d spend the extra $150 or so and get a JX3 over a soft saddle. You can still lean for shots like you can with a soft saddle. But with a lot more features. Seems expensive but you also get your ropes and biners with it.

Issue is mainly hip pinch. I’ve watched all the videos and tried different tether heights and adjustments and still seem to have the issue. I’m 5’8 136 lbs for reference.

Also, using LWCG Fix platform.

Love my Orion with the pleats tight to lean on a tree that is hanging towards me or for a short hunt that I just run my UP. If I am going to have a longer sit, 7 -14 hrs I will adjust the pleat for all day comfort. There is no equal.

I love my method. Don’t have anything else for reference but to compare it to itself. So far this season, I adjusted the attachment point, for the bridge to saddle connection, down (lower on the loop, closer to bottom panel) and it made a HUUUUGGEEE difference in comfort for when I was sitting….and I do mean huge. Something that simple. I also out of need due to a tree that I was in, had to run my tether much higher than usual and shorten the bridge length up, and that was probably one of the most uncomfortable sits I’ve ever had, major hip pinch on that one…but it was necessary for the only tree I could find in the spot I wanted to sit. So don’t give up and any one saddle just because a single sit or even a single season doesn’t get it exactly right. You just need to keep adjusting and fiddling unfortunately until you get it just right. Even an adjustment as small as a single inch of length removed from the bridge adjustment can be noticeable.

Bridge loops and adjustments are the main reason for hip pinch.the bridge needs to suport your bottom.not your waist.it needs to be conected to the bottom of the worthless bridge loop.i get sick of saying it.but the makers dont care.as long as the ass hamok sells.why do better.it will be better for consumers when the whole Industrie moves away from bridge loops.so you dont have to keep buying another saddle with bridge loops to try and get just right by seting it up the way it should be made.one company came out with a populare desighn that was no good.and everyone coppied it because its all they knew.so here we are.selling hip pinch.

I aint scared to call people out and name names.its just not my style.but eventualy someone gotta say something.after a decade of making my own cheezy saddles in my ding room, not one every desighned to have hip pinch as an option. i will debate any body on this subject hoping to be proven wrong so that i can learn something.i will draw up Diagrams and show the geometry.honestly a thead debating this topic could help us move forward as a sport.but i dont even like shaming my dog and i dought that i will get any usefull feed back.i meam what are bridgeloops realy good for

I liked your built in pockets on your diy saddle. I would like to see some more details on your build and how your design helps you with hip pinch. I am not really looking for a debate, just looking for you to share your design so I can incorporate things I find useful.

Thx

Another vote for Jamie’s saddle (Overwatch Outdoors). Picked it up last year and it’s a great two panel saddle for sitting or leaning!
