Most comfortable saddle for leaners

Thanks soj.The geometry i use is still only an educated guess wich can surely be improved upon.i see the strait lines, angles and curves in my head.i would need to take picks ,make diagrams and break out the cumpas and square.when i get time.style wise its remanesant of the ambush.wich i thought Was engineered right.those shapes just didnt quite work.as for the geometry these things are stupid simple to understand when you see them in person. I would love to show people,so they dont have to make a saddle,set it up in front of a mirror ,look at the angles.throw it away and start over,and over,and over........and over.

It dont matter what kind of bridge, rope, amsteel or webbing but you want a strait line down your bottom strap under your butt.so its not pulling to much material upwards to the waist belt.the waist belt is almost level and doesnt pull up and in like loops do.instead it is angles down at the front for Relief when weighted its slightly loose around your waist.strait lines and curves for the seat......thats hard to describe.

This helps. Thanks. Reminds me of old trophyline. I’ll have to make some prototypes. It sounds like the waist belt is mostly for giving the back support and not really being pulled tight by the bridge. Is that correct?

Are your leg loops all one piece or do you use buckles for them?

Loving my classic 2. 5’10” 190

The Classic 2 is the lead saddle in my fleet. Fits me well, love the rope belt. Biggest downside is the configuration of the linemans loops forcing the molle too far back, which makes it cumbersome to reach into my dump sacks.

CGM Cobra has been the most comfortable for me. It opens up like a hammock if you want it. Also I love the transport mode so it's not dragging along walking in the woods like some of the other pleated saddles.

It's so hard to recommend saddles to people because everyone is different. Personally I can get comfortable in any saddle leaning and I've used atleast 10 or more saddles. Where they shine different for me is sitting(my go to). I've found that a 2 panel with D-Rings makes getting comfortable for hours easily and no fiddle factor. Overwatch transformer is a great saddle for the job.

I agree with just trying. I have found the transformer extremely comfortable. I seem to like my tether around chin height and my bridge is about mid length. It took me a while and three saddles. I do think the two panel allows me to adjust a bit. I say this and still curious about the Cruzr XC. What do I know…
