I've been a Bowhunter for 32 years. Got many of my friends and family hooked on it too. Hunted all this time out of tree stands. In the beginning homemade stands. Many years ago when we first started thinking about safety I used a waist belt strapped to the tree and loved how I could lean out away from the tree to shoot. Then harnesses started to be the norm and my belt was considered dangerous, and the company went out of business. Many years ago I was going to get a tree saddle, had my mind made up, but before I pulled the trigger, they went out of business. I didn't know of any other companies making them, so I bought more treestands instead.

Anyway I finally purchased a saddle (hasn't arrived yet) and I'm pumped to try it! All my hunting buddies think it's a little crazy. Too much going on. Is that safe? You bought a what? I just love the idea of mobility, not hunting the very same tree year after year like my friends do. So light and nimble. I can't wait. I was on a technical rescue team up until a few years ago so I love ropes and all the hardware. I'll probably lug in climbing sticks to start with because I still have 5 sets from over the years (Gorilla, Lone Wolf, Hawk Helium). I'm kind of infatuated with the Wild Edge Ladder Stepps, though. Love,how they pack and lock on rock solid to a tree.

I just wanted to say thanks ahead of time for having you all here! What an incredible resource for a "rookie" like me.

Welcome. Its the most comfortable I've been in a tree if you are used to hanging from ropes you'll love it I'm sure.

Welcome aboard you won't be disappointed First day I got mine I climbed a few feet off the ground with my wild edge steps in my backyard and did a test run for a couple hours trying every different movement and using my bow pulled back to full draw and try turning and mimicking every shot available it seemed to help a lot. You are probably going to want to play with your Tether height and bridge length adjustments for comfort and shoot ability I found that the shorter my bridge the easier it was to make certain shots without interfering something you might want to play around with before you hunt after a couple of hours of that I was ready to roll.

They thought Columbus was crazy too! to find anything great you have to take risk and go out on a limb, not a whole lot of good comes out of staying at home and playing in the same sandbox. Some people just don't get it! a few years back I started doing local BBQ Contests and did really well so I started trying PRO contest, my Dad wanted me to stay competing at the local contest and winning? to me it's like repeating third grade.
