My Hobby

I knew this group could appreciate these! Thanks again guys..seeing the responses motivates me to do more with it. I did start out college pursuing graphic arts for a few semesters before changing majors to Criminal Justice but that was 20 years ago. It is something i have always wanted to get back to but have struggled to find a good outlet for my work and honestly how to even go about it all in terms of making it a business venture.

So hypothetically, how many of you (or your wife/girlfriend) would purchase a print like this for gifts, your cabins or trophy rooms or even be interested in commissioning an original piece of specific work you would like done? What holds me back from taking that plunge is that a lot of people will love the work but don't want to buy it when they see the price. It is like there is a disconnect between that is amazing work and then understanding that I probably had 40+ hrs of time into it.

MathewsShooter7, that is some beautiful work! Here's a few pics of what I have done. A couple shelf mushrooms(Artist conch) painted for camp signs, Dresser I built and wood burned, my brothers late yellow lab, deer feeding was drawn while home on Workers Comp after hand surgery.
