I almost went the Alice route, but the price of the molle frames I was finding won it. I also felt like all of the holes were going to be easier to keep my webbing where I wanted it

I kept wanting to have a pack option to pack out a deer. Always thought about trying to use the molle frame. Great job. I’m gonna have to try this.
 
Great post. I ended up converting an old kelty trekker 65 external frame pack a few years ago to provide the same function - securely carry my LW sticks and have a pack out option. I ended up attaching the LW stick quiver (pic below) to the the frame as means to lock the sticks down. It was secure and since I wrapped the exposed metal with stealth tape, the set up was pretty quiet and stable. The size of the frame was tough though. It grabbed every branch I walked by. So I'm converting to the wild edge steps this year and going back to the drawing board in terms of designing my new system (that's half the fun though). BUT, these lower profile frame options give me a few other alternatives as well. Good stuff.
