I have only climbed with it twice but I hang it in the tree, weak side. I like the two small pockets on the top for keeping my tree gear/snacks organized, and I sweat so dang much I usually change my shirt/top layers after being up in the tree for 20 min or so. Only my second season so I'll likely keep changing my setup for a while until I fully settle in

Well it seems I was worried about the pack noise for no reason. I brought it outside and had my wife jostle it around and open and close the zippers while I was standing 15 yards away and I had to really focus to distinguish between the noise from the pack and the ambient noise (wind, birds, leaves rustling). If I wasn't looking in her direction and watching what she was doing I don't think I would have heard it at all.

Yea now I'm getting all worked over my straps creaking. I guess its the plastic piece inside. Anyone else have this issue with the straps?

Where the sound comes from when walking. It gets better when a little wet.

At this point I’ve been within 30 yards of probably 150-200 deer, elk, hogs, etc with my pop up. I cannot think of a single animal spooking due to noise. Has one been close, I didn’t know it, and they “heard” me rustle in my pack? I’m sure. But it hasn’t made a single ounce of difference from what I can tell.

for what it’s worth I go into my pack once at beginning and end of hunt. Very rarely a time in between. Getting stuff out the lid or front pocket is as silent as any other pack though.

Also, getting it covered in rain mud blood and washing it a few times helps. But it’s not a thing. If it’s below freezing, bluebird skies, super low humidity, and no wind, sure, I wouldn’t rustle in my pack with deer inside of 100 yards.

I keep a quiet pack for just such occasions. It happens about once a season tops for me. Kind of silly really.
