Can anyone tell me a name on this step? I recently got 7 of them in a trade. They’re aluminum. Some had brown straps with a loop so the step would stay near the buckle, and some have a black strap and the step can go wherever. The step has a spot milled in it where the strap goes so you can take it on and off the strap without sliding it all the way off the strap. I plan to use 4 on an OCB strap as a platform and the other three maybe as extra steps while climbing or hanging gear from.

Thanks! Every time I tried to search ameristep it only showed the plastic ones. Are these good?

They’re not my favorite but if you put them on a strap with a boat buckle they should work good.

I have a set like that - they work fine just not as good as the plastic ameristeps. The alum ones have a smaller step surface and clink together... certainly a viable platform option especially if you are careful about the noise and get them tight with a boat buckle or ratchet.
