Naming your weapons

My new 6.5 Swede is named Zeus cause it’s slinging lightning bolts. Pushing 135gr Berger Classics at 2925 and kills like being struck by lightning

I had a gun passed down to me and it got me thinking that I wanted a gun to pass down to my kids so right after I got married I convinced my wife to let me get a custom PA rifle from Luckenbill. My wife drew up the design for the thumb plate, the engraving was designed after my late mother’s cross she has hanging on the wall in the kitchen she got during her cancer battle, my wife picked out the wood and now I have my hand me down. I call it “My Legacy Rifle”

that’s the only weapon I have named.

I named my shot gun, “The One Hitter Quitter!” First doe I ever shot was in the back of the head and dropped her right away. (Hey I was new and didn’t know what I was doing) Second doe I ever shot was later that day and she dropped instantly from the shot. The name seemed perfect. This last spring I got my first turkey with ole One Hitter Quitter on one shot.
My bow is named Baby or my baby since it cost more than all my guns combined.

My Mathews Vertix is the Stone Cold Killer cause it’s in their stone color.

All my bows have names. And stories behind the names. My primary bow is called shadow fax. It was written on the bow by the maker.

I passed the Green Bastard onto my little brother and picked up a newer Bear Archery bow earlier this year, it's a Bear Kuma. Kuma is Japanese for bear.

I named him Bjorn Ironsides because bjorn is Norwegian for bear, and hes iron colored and I'm mostly Norwegian

I never have but my "newest" bow (2018) has a sticker, assembled by "I. Hammer" so it told me it's name

The only weapon that ever got named is my 12 ga. Remington 870 slug gun because my buddy, who is into only high end and fancy stocked guns, hated this gun and said it was made from recycled soda bottles because it has a synthetic stock. So naturally I named it Black Beauty. Makes him wince everytime I say it too.

This, pretty much. Don’t have enough weapons yet for them to need distinguishing nicknames. If I borrow a flintlock then it’s “the ole smokepole” to separate it from my inline muzzy.
