Need help for this afternoon's hunt!

I've only been twice this year but those two stands were about 75 miles apart. I'm thinking about heading your way about the 13th of next month hunting Friday evening and Saturday about all day. Go ahead and kill that buck tonight so I don't have to bug you about where he was.

You were there you know how he was acting. If you know why he was there, you have a legitimate chance that he hangs around there. Rut ain't started down there yet? Shift started? I would try to zero in on him the next two or three weeks maybe hang a camera or two and pinpoint a travel route

And then post the hero shot!!

LOL. I'm going after him.

Here's my thinking: I could go in blind to a completely different area. However, I know that this area was holding a mature buck. Even if I boogered him, there may be another one that moved in 4 days ago.

Secondly, the river should be back down by this weekend so I probably won't be back in his area again. I'll be focusing on my scouted areas.

I'm getting after him. Watch the "Live from the tree" thread for updates. Thanks for the help.
 
Going after the same buck is the right call. I would adjust the stand site on his exit route as you mentioned.
