Need Rope Mod for Lonewolf Sticks

Gentlemen (and Ladies),

I have had 5 official sits with my new saddle hunting setups and I am officially done with the buckle and straps that come with the sticks.

Is there someone that can provide ropes for rope mod on Lonewolf sticks? I have muddy sticks as well and need to figure out a DIY for those as well, since EVERYTHING makes noise.

I watched Garrett's bicycle tire mod for buckles and it was a great video, but seems like a lot of trouble for me personally - would rather go with ropes (lighter and silent and faster).

Thanks for your help!

Take the buckle off. Tie the strap like you would tie a rope mod. Light, quiet, easy, and free. If you don't like it, then buy rope.
Does it work only on the new version of their stick or can it be used on the previous older version as well?

I used this from DIY Sportsman.
It is 8mm PMI accessory cord from REI.
You can buy it by the foot. Obviously like he says in the video this voids anything to do with the legal actions if something on the sticks were to break but you are "modding" in truth.

Mine seem to work great honestly. I have two sets with the 8mm PMI and I have two sets with the Amsteel.
I tied everything myself and honestly love them.
I do not really prefer one over the other. The 8mm seemed to stretch in the beginning but ive seen some posts on here about letting the ropes stretch initially anyways.
They seem great so far.

Hope this helps.

Yak Grips on the buckle are good too. Jason Samkowiak turned me on to that. Cut them in half and slide them on, boom. They’re like $10/pair or something, and each Yak Grip is good for 2 sticks since you’re cutting them.

I use the buckless method with my hawk helium sticks and I’ve never had a problem with them coming untied. I also use a moveable 5 step aider that I attach to the strap beside the Vera button. Just go around the tree behind the strap tied to the versa button, wrap around the button twice, then two half hitches. Easy to get off as well

If you have muddy sticks then you can use the rope from the muddy sticks for the rope mod.

I bought a set of diy sticks from another member here and he used the muddy rope and lone wolf versa button and it works perfect.

If you don't have your muddy stick ropes then you can buy their Middy Safe line and cut that to length as that's the same rope they use on their sticks

However, I'd recommend confirming with muddy to ensure it's the same rope.

This is exactly the alternative I was searching for. I'm glad I saw this before buying rope or new buckle + straps. I tried this out the other day and it worked great from all I could tell. We shall see if I still like it after completing a full set up and take down. Thanks.

Glad it worked for you. I think it makes the rope mod kinda obsolete. The straps are free!
And less stretchy than the rope. Now the next question. How do you stow the strap during transport? Cinched under itself and versa like the rope mod?

I just tried the buckle less method with some daisy chain webbing on my lonewolf stock versa button and seems to work as well.
