Hey everyone, my name is Matt and I'm new to saddle hunting this year, coming from ladder stands. I hunt mostly private land, but the public land is much closer for me so I'm hoping to get a lot more time in the woods by hunting close to home. I usually use a recurve during bow season and a 12g during gun season. I'm planning on doing the sit n drag with RCH for starters. Ive got some experience with ropes and harnesses, so I'm supprised this idea never occurred to me before! I really appreciate all the info you folks have provided to us new guys! I read a lot and post very little, but I will try to contribute if I come up with anything of value.

Thanks,
Matt

You've come to the one stop shop for everything saddle related. Welcome from NY.

Welcome from DE! I’ll be out near you at my in-laws’ in Logan County next week, it’ll be my first time hunting OH. Not too far from Dayton...

Glad to hear fellow buckeye hunter! I'm in Greenville, Ohio. Recieved my Mantis last week and my first hang will be this Wednesday. Only ever bow hunted from the ground. Can't wait to see what hunting above the canopy is like!
