Hello,
Looking to make the transition from hang on to saddle. Sick of being out of gas by the time I get to my spot. Especially, in the early season! Hunted the ground two times already this season to avoid exacerbating injuries that would keep me out of the game this season. Stumbled across the saddle thing recently. Motivated to learn! I always had the impression the saddle is improvised tree climbing equipment and not safe. Watched the videos on the web and have been sold on the safety, versatility, and obviously the weight factor. This forum has great information. I have a good idea what I want to purchase (Kestrel-aeroflex). Feel free to give me the pros and cons if you have this saddle.
I know this is a terrible time to ask with Bow season upon us, but anyone in the NC Triangle area willing to meet and review their gear set up it would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to purchase a saddle sight-unseen, which wouldn't be my first time making a leap on gear. Just prefer to do some due diligence on this method and ask some questions.
I hunt Jordan Lake area just about every Sat am and some evenings during the week. If anyone in the area is planning to hunt and has some time in between sits or on a non-hunting Sunday (I know! no hunting on Sunday in NC!-Cmon man).
Thanks all! Be safe out there and up there!
