New to saddle hunting in Russellville Alabama. Ready for season to start, found good little spot on public while turkey hunting this spring.
Also found good amazon deal on hero clips search for medium Seattle.
 
Welcome aboard. I'm from North Alabama as well. Will be hunting Wheeler Refuge and a small place in Tennessee.
 
Welcome, I'm from North Alabama as well. I will be hunting Wheeler Refuge also, along with Swan Creek, Skyline, and Bankhead. I also am on a club in Bankhead as well. I have been thinking about making my way out to Freedom Hills the last couple seasons but just haven't because I haven't been there before and don't really know that much about it. Maybe this will be the year.

Bstevens, I'm pretty much starting from scratch on Wheeler. Any tips on a general area? Mainly looking for some meat for the freezer.

Anyway I’m trying to head to bankhead this weekend to scout.
 
Welcome! I'm in B'ham but hunt all over Bankhead, Cahaba, and a few other places. Sounds like we're getting a pretty good crop of saddle hunters in AL.

I usually hunt in the Blackwell swamp area and also under the interstate 65 bridge on the north side of the river.

I usually go out there when squirrel season opens and scout around and get to shoot some tree rats at the same time, mostly scout though
