Hello all,
The name is Steve and I live just northwest of Nashville TN. I have just ordered my first saddle setup and in 6+ weeks should be figuring out how to hang in a tree. I joined here per recommendation from members on the Bowhunting.com forum (Not trying to plug a forum). We have a small thread over there about saddle hunting, but it does not really get any traction. Figured I'd be best suited to come and start reading over here.
I've done a lot of reading and watched the G2 outdoors guy videos and I'm ready to take the plunge. I hunt two small acreage private land spots and hunt public land in southern Illinois. Saddle style hunting will solve a lot of problems for me on public land, I am looking forward to seeing what opportunities it will open up for me.
I ordered the Tethrd Mantis starter kit, once I receive it and start playing around I'll move onto platforms and whatever other stuff I may need for next season.
Looking forward to picking your brains, Don't expect to see my post count go up, I plan on reading rather than ask the same new guy questions.
Here is this year Illinois deer for an introduction.
