You’re on the right track brother, welcome to the site!
Thank you sir, I spent the whole day yesterday fabbing up a saddle. I think it turned out ok for what limited knowledge i have on them, but I can safely say, I know the average 200 cost of any of the three I have found so far, it well work the money to buy one. hehehe. But I love to piddle and make stuff if I can, I am waiting on some rope and then I will post a video on it.

Dale,

Your polite and respectful postings are an awesome addition to a site that is already made up of some great folks, but is made better by your thoughtful words and presence.

I just wanted you to know that I for one appreciated the effort and aspire to be more like you in my online persona.

Good luck this fall in the Sooner State!

That 39 days can’t come soon enough.
Too bad oklahoma keeps raising their out of state prices on me!!!!
I don’t really get to hunt until October 9th (best case scenario) anyways, so a bit longer for me.

It is still awesome to have Oklahoma as a backup so I can avoid Texas during our 70+ day fun season....... how TPWD thinks we will EVER have good age structure or herd numbers with that long of a gun season, right across the full rut is beyond me.

I know they keep going up in price, I was 19 when I saved up and bought a lifetime hunting and fishing license, so I don't ever really look at the cost, maybe once in a blue moon just to look and see how much it has went up.
Oh wow, yes sir, I didn't know that about Texas hunting. I had a friend in college who went there to hunt once and he went to the one of the hunting outfits and he did really well, I didn't have enough money back then to pay attention, but I enjoyed seeing his photos he brought back. But other wise I have never been out that way to hunt.
My Father in Law lives in Marshall and I love all the tall pines and lakes in East Texas, I could see myself retiring out that way possibly, it is such a fun state.
Well, good luck with the upcoming season my friend and keep us posted on you success. I am looking forward to it.
