Hello everyone my name is Gee and I live in North Carolina. I’m wanting to get into saddle hunting really bad but I can’t afford a new one at the moment does anyone in here have an old one that they are willing to part with for a reasonable price or know of any brands that’s a affordable price to start with. Thank you

Several hunting websites have classifieds or a marketplace area, but most have stipulations to access them. Some you have to be a paying member of the site, while others require a certain duration of being a member and post count to reduce scammers.

Check out classifieds section. Also if you have a Facebook check out saddle hunter nation and saddle hunter classifieds pages. Be careful of scammers and use goods and services for payment as protection. Be patient and good deals can be had.

If you can wait, check the classifieds for a JX3.
Occasionally some poor lost soul will be selling the worlds most comfortable tree saddle........

I got into saddle hunting about 2 years ago and wanted to go at it on a budget and made my own. I had came across a thread about making a “sit drag” into a saddle and that’s what I did. You can pick one up for about $30 and get some Amstel for bridge and make a lineman’s rope and tether. Then all you need is a platform and climbing sticks of some sort. It’s taken me a couple of years to work at it, and this year finally harvested my first buck out of my saddle. It was with my crossbow, but rewarding and looking to do it next year with my compound.IMG_1833.jpegIMG_1845.jpegIMG_1851.jpegIMG_1854.jpegIMG_1853.jpegIMG_1856.jpegIMG_1857.jpeg
