Took a drive to Georgia today and picked up a new smoker. Been wanting one of these for awhile, and finally decided to get this one. It's my first reverse flow. My other smoker is an offset. So ive got to learn how to cook on it, but looking forward to some tasty 'que.

Nice. You could get two whole deer in there!

Name checks out. Looking forward to seeing what this smoker does, that's practically a "I own my own restaurant/food stand" level piece of equipment there.

Nah, just a big family. My smaller smoker feeds our little group at the house just fine, but for when all the aunts and uncles and cousins come over for 4th of July, cookouts, birthday stuff, etc then I run out of room fast.

This is actually only a 150 gallon tank. I originally wanted a 250 but couldn't pass this one up, and it should have plenty of room.

There were enough pecan trees put on the ground around here by Helene to keep you cooking for your whole family for the next 487 years.

Dang. That's alot of pecan!

Pecan is great smoking wood though. Good flavor but not overpowering. It holds its heat and burns for a long time too. It's not cheap though. If someone were able to harvest all that somehow they would make a small fortune.
