New to saddle...couple questions...

I’m running full length novix sticks with the single steps. I won a novix echo and the sticks in a raffle last year. @Fl Canopy Stalker im a big boy, 5’11” 250, those things have been up and down many trees with no signs of slowing down, I can’t recommend them enough. I think those will be one of the last pieces of gear I customize.
Yea I am 6’3” 220 ish… I am torn. I love out on a limb products but Dan-O and EWO probably has the best stand offs of any sticks I have seen or tried. They are a little pricey but for me price isn’t as important as quality especially after those heliums did that. The novix double sticks are definitely in the running for me though

Man I’d pay admission fees if there was a store that kept all this stuff in stock just to try it out before I buy. For me I’ll stick with the full lengths, misr of the trees in mt are are beech trees tall and limbless so I need the height to hide my silhouette.

This will be my first year saddle hunting. Actually, my first year hunting up off the ground in any manner. After going back and forth looking at ALL the different climbing methods (stick sets, one stick w/aider, steps, ladders, etc.) I decided to try just ropes. I've got a 2TC setup for straight trees, and I also ordered a MRS setup from WesSpur that I'm going to try for the gnarly stuff. We'll see how it goes
