Hello to my deer hunting brothers and sisters. I'm new to saddlehunter.com and saddle hunting all together. But I am a bow hunter to the heart which also makes me sort of a lover of Innovative and good gear. I'm 36 years old and heard of Saddle hunting for the first time 4 days ago and am truly inspired! I live in North Mississippi and was hoping to find someone around my area the saddle hunting to glean from. I would also like to buy a saddle really don't have the money to spend for 4 or $500 for the new retail stuff. So I guess I would like to buy a used saddle or go DIY!! Any help or info or inspiration would be very much appreciated. I just got approved for the site today so I'm still learning to navigate and how to search specifically what I'm looking for and needs are.

Welcome from Louisiana! I hunt private land a few miles west of Vicksburg. You’re welcome to come try out my Kite and API sticks but I don’t have any to sale. There are multiple threads on saddlehuter about DIY saddle making or using a sit drag with RCH. Watch the classified as saddles come up for sale but you have to be quick, there in demand right now. Good luck and be safe.

From one Deltahuntr to the other thankyou! Nothing like hunting big bucks in Delta mud!! So many times that I've been in low-lying Delta swamps with smoking hot trails and had a few trees but never any that a climber could handle. I'm hoping that saddle hunting will cure!!

I'm from the Corinth area and I have a sit drag that I would let go for cheap. If your interested pm me. I use the JX3 Hybrid by John Reed of JX3Outdoors.com and since getting the Hybrid I've had no need for the sit drag.

Welcome aboard Ruff-n-it! Me and Mr. Price went the DIY route with Sit-Drag as the base for our saddle set up. I wouldn’t mind upgrading to a retail saddle at some point in time, but our sit drag setup is keeping us out in the wild right now! We took a course at YouTube University and Mr. Price does a good job of thinking outside the box...Well, in his own words “He doesn’t even have a box!” Lol. We worked together to come up with things that work for us while on a budget with safety as top priority but killing critters a close second!

We should plan something. Maybe do a public hunt somewhere
