Hello everyone,
I'm new to deer hunting all the way around. I had a blast hunting last year for the first time killed my first deer at 34 years old, yada yada, now im hooked. It's awesome. I bought a saddle over the summer and I am torqued for bow season to come in in Virginia. This whole scent control idea has my head spinning. Last year I got a basic scent free kit from Wally world with detergent and spray and all that. I had old camo that was given to me that I used. I washed it with the detergent, put it in rubbermaid tote with lid until I was going hunting. Before the hunt I took a scent free shower, and wore scent free deoderant. If I was hunting after work I took a scent free wipe and wiped down put my clothes on, spra and went in the woods. I didn't invest a whole lot of thought in it, and surely didn't invest a ton of money in clothing, ozone, and the like. Am I headed on the right path? If it ain't broke don't fix it? Thanks for any and all advice ahead of time.
