Hello everyone! I've been bow hunting for over 20 years (since I was 12), and in the last couple of years have come across the saddle system. I'm very seriously considering purchasing one, but I'm hoping to try one on, get in a tree with one first. Is there anyone in the Appleton area that would be willing to meet up and let me see it/experience it myself?

What basic advice would everyone give for me to look into BEFORE purchasing a saddle? I've spent a lot of time reviewing them, and I'm down to H2 or Tethrd for brands.

Lastly, what's available for platforms? I'm aware of the Solo Scout, as well as Tethrd's Predator. Are there more out there I should look into?

Thanks so much, I'm really enjoying reading about others' experiences. Is it mid-September yet!?

If you go to the meetup forum, they’re working on organizing a saddle hunter meetup in Sussex on August 22nd. Sounds like a bunch of guys are bringing their stuff for people to try - probably a great chance to window shop!

I would give a hard look at the OOAL Ridge Runner for a platform. Absolutely love mine. I also own the H2 saddle and is the only one I’ve ever tried so far and it’s awesome. I don’t think you’ll go wrong with either of them personally. But I like supporting the underdog so I went H2. Someday will likely try a Tethrd though too.

Welcome from Missouri! Would count out the Aero Flex! I’ve had the Tetherd Mantis and tried the Phantom. Flex is way more comfortable than both but it’s all about preference.

I just ordered my first saddle. When I get it, I can meet up with you and try my Cruzr XC.

I was the other way around, sold the Flex and will never part with the Phantom. Like you said though, everyone has their preference. I'm 6' 1" and 175lbs, thighs like a deer's foreleg. The buckles were to far into my pouch to get comfy, bigger thighs would've fixed this issue.

I decided to go with the Aero Flex. Should be getting it in the next couple of weeks!
