Newbie’s first time in the saddle and review of the Mantis

Also I contemplated making my own adjusters to use until my ordered ones come in. Since I sew with a speedy stitcher I decided it wasn’t something I had to do now and would be a lot of work for a temporary solution. So this is what I came up with. It requires an unweighted two hand adjustment but takes less than a minute to make and will allow me to fine tune my mantis until my micro adjusters arrive. It’s just a small piece of paracord with a prussik tied back onto itself. 8D79BB74-0E99-4F9C-BD08-126228BE197B.jpeg

Missouri newbie here but on the St Louis side of the state! I haven't gone out on a hunt yet (life) but have been practicing and firmly believe it is a great system but needs to be practiced and fine tuned. It's not climb up in the ladder stand and sit that is for sure. Good luck this season!

So my bridge length may not be my problem trying to get comfortable. It’s my micro adjusters I don’t have yet redsquirrel? Feels like the saddle is cutting into the back of my legs . I stand and try to keep pulling it down
Can you explain your discomfort more?
I haven't put my hands on a production saddle yet so take this for what it's worth. I'm a sitter and I put most of weight into the saddle. This saddle tends to want to ride higher up than I'm used to. If I were to keep my adjusters completely loose the saddle would slip up my butt and ride high on my butt and be uncomfortable. I use the adjusters to tweak the bottom strap length to even it out to make it comfortable.

Yes it’s cutting into the back of my legs right under where the buns meet the legs
So just to confirm.. it's the top portion cutting into your legs? Yes I think the adjusters will help.

If your talking about the lower portion of the saddle bunching up until the webbing catches on your cheeks a lower tether will fix it now. That was my problem on my first sit. I had to pull it down several times per hour. I lowered my tether to chin height and problem solved. Hopefully the added cup using the adjusters will allow me to move my tether back up when using a step platform. It’s fine lower when on the predator.
