How are we doing? This website is amazing. Great group of people that are willing to give advice. Thanks a ton.

I have a question about a platform that I recently purchased. It is a XOP platform shown in the picture attached. I am struggling with getting a solid connection to the tree with the top bracket. I can get the platform to cam over but when I stand on it, the top cam separates from the tree. I have tried a lone wolf bracket as well as a whoopie sling and neither seems hold the top bracket down. Any advice for this?

Welcome to the site! I can't help you too much on the platform, but if you're not already using the lone wolf cam buckle strap, try that. I'm not clear if you're using the whoopie solo or in addition to that.

I have one of those kits. It is very solid. I used the LW cam buckle as well. You should have to force the seat down to get it to really lock down. Those brackets should really be digging into the tree.

Welcome, looks like you're all set! I also just got one of those platforms. Not sure if it's clear in the video but make sure you don't connect the strap just to the little hook, you need to wrap it then hook it otherwise you can break it.

Donnie thanks! I think I’m starting to figure this thing out.

@Drslyr I’m out of Rochester. Grew up around Binghamton so I do a little hunting down that way too.

Welcome aboard. Glad to see more folks from NY taking the saddle plunge. I'm from the Auburn, NY area. I hunt all over the state on public plus some PA and Ohio public
