Newbie question for setting up a pre-set

Saddle Vets,

I have a nice piece of private property that I hunt and being brand new to saddle hunting. What is everyone's opinion with leaving either lone wolf sticks with 8mm rope mod or wild edge steps up in a tree for a pre-set. I am not worried about theft on this property and don't want to screw anything into their trees.

I guess my question being is the rope and wild edge rope safe to leave on the tree being exposed to weather for extended periods. Should I just re-set them and tighten them up from time to time or will they stay tight?

Same with the platform Out on a limb & predator, are they okay to leave hanging with inspection from time to time to make sure no squirrels are chewing on the straps.

Thanks,

Short term that should be fine, I suppose. I would recommend getting a 20ft ladder stick though. You can find them for cheap sometimes, like $40. If you cant drill, that's about the cheapest preset.

Cheap stick ladders are an overlooked jem for private. You can also find them for 1/2 price after Thanksgiving or Christmas on closeouts.

I will go that route, thank you for the advice.

Should be fine. I usually leave a lifeline in the tree so I don’t have to worry about going around limbs
