A gear strap thread was already started about a different nite Ize strap so I didn't want to steer that one in a different direction. I'm sure this has been shown before as well, but I thought it has worked out really well. The aluminum version is the one you want and it fits perfectly for Paracord. Then I bought 5 plastic D carabiners and cut them into a "J" and drilled a hole in the top for the Paracord. I also added a hero clip for my bow. I believe the J clips would have worked just fine though. It fits perfectly in my pocket for easy access when I'm at hunting height. The pic is on a +24" maple and there is very little sag.

The Cam Jam works great, is lightweight, and compact - what's not to like? I use a few of the Nite Ize "S" hooks with mine, but I like your idea of modifying the plastic carabiners to make "J" hooks.

The S hooks are great too. I like the drilled holes for the Paracord because it's small enough that they don't move or slide with weight on them but they move nicely to were you want them when not loaded.

I have been using them for about 2 months now. They work awesome for hanging pack and gun/ bow! I use a qlipter for gun/bow and sbiner for pack.
