I have been messing around with a way to get rid of a carabiner or screw link for a DIY DanO/LW seat platform.
Here it goes:
7/64” Amsteel daisy chain larsksheaded to left side of platform
1/8” Amsteel improved soft shackle (minus the choker loop) larksheaded to right side.

Run the daisy chain around the tree and then pass through aperture of soft shackle

Next, open the appropriate loop and pass over the bulbous knot of the soft shackle

Pull the daisy chain to tighten

Immediately have deer within spitting distance

Forgot this one.
Use the ears of the seat and the leveling pin to wrap everything up for transport.

Nice. Reminds me of a hummingbird hammock attachment. It can be used with a woopie sling too.

Thanks. I found Whoopie slings are a little harder to adjust while in a tree, that is why I went with this configuration.

Interesting. The daisy chain offers enough adjustment for the platform to be tight on any tree? My cam over platform was really finicky on strap length/adjustment when camming over. Just a 1/2" or less of adjustment was the difference between the platform being rock solid and not being tight enough to hold against side pressure.

I haven’t had a tree that didn’t work so far. I guess the caveat is that you might not get to pick the exact height at which the platform rests.

@mtsrunner that is a slick idea! now if someone can produce a saddle specific foot climber like that, we will be in business!

excellent work on the innovation, and the detailed explanation.

Yes, X2 on the saddle oriented climber/platform. I think the DIY Tree Lounge type are a step in that direction (see @Mr Price ). The woods that I hunt has plentiful trees that would work with a foot climber and still provide cover due to surrounding trees.
