Looking to go into solid colored pants for saddle hunting, don’t want to spend the money on top of the line pants to sit in a saddle, any suggestions for a insulated inexpensive pant? Ty in advance

Wrangler hiking pants from walmart. They're like $22 bucks and the most comfy pants ever. Honestly like a pair of pajamas but acceptable to wear on the day to day. I even wear them to work sometimes.
Agreed. I have several pair. They are really similar to some sitka pants.

I walked 54 miles in one pair over 4 days this spring and they flat out performed. Intuitive pocket placement, spaced out right, sized right. I have 5 pairs in various colors.

Thanks guys think I run and grab a few pair for early season, any suggestions for colder weather? Ty again

I’ve been comfortable using Wranglers fleece lined cargo pants. They come in camo and solid colors I think. Pair them with some thin long johns. They are a cotton exterior so maybe not the best for wet conditions but tucking them into my muck boots I was good with fairly deep snow.

I have posted these before and I understand if some people think it’s a bit strange. These pants are not insulated but you can layer accordingly like others mentioned. You also get integrated removable knee pads if you are a sitter or make contact with the tree climbing. So your knees are protected at all times and you don’t need a pad on the tree or anything. It has pockets you can still access while in the saddle sitting or leaning or standing. Additional pockets are everywhere if necessary. And they can take a beating. Yes they are made overseas. The Crye Precision pants are Berry compliant and made in the US and cost about $225 a pair or so making this the budget option. They also work miracles when doing any house project or any sort of work on your knees like demo or roofing or crawl spaces or tile. You get the point.

Eddie Bauer guide pros. On sale they're around $50 so double the cost of the outdoor Wrangler pants. The Wranglers always get mentioned a bunch so I don't know if they guide pros are worth paying 2x for but I've beat on a pair scouting through nasty stuff for two or three years now that would have torn my first lite kanabs to shreds and there's one single tiny hole. They're not pretty at this point but they've held up incredibly well.

Are those soft knee pads? Curious about noise.

Those wally world pants are hard to find in my size....I've been wanting to try a pair reading all the praise on here but everytime I go to buy some online they are out of stock and I've only ever seen them in the store 1 time and they were all way to big for normal human beings.
My non camo pants I wear are from academy sports but lots of company's make/sell the style. I like the "river pants"....fast drying, zip off legs, and super light weight. If it's cold and I wanted to wear them I just add a layer under.
OP asking about insulated pants after rereading.....oops.. I don't feel like erasing

They are a plastic like other knee pads. However you can take the flap of fabric and cover them so they make no more noise than anything else touching the tree. I am attaching a photo where the knee pads are in the pants but covered by the fabric. The ones pictured are the Crye Precision ones but it’s the same. The Tethrd knee pads or the Arcteryx ones would make the same amount of noise.

Same here. I've been looking for them for years. When I do find them, they are not even close to my size. And online has always been sold out.

I got lucky and live in the midwest. There are 5 walmarts in this town alone! I was able to find several pair. I'd be willing to be a dealer if I can locate them locally......
