Nonskid Paint?

I bought a Hawk Apex platform and want to make it slip proof. I'm not a fan of tape products, as they haven't lasted on tree stands. I had another idea, but can't seem to find the product.
Navy ships have non-skid on the deck. It allows solid footing on wet decks when the ship is rocking and rolling. It would be perfect, but I don't know where to get it or how to make it. Are there any sailors who know what I could get?

Put sand in your paint

Sherwin Williams has a product called Shark Grip that you can mix with paint to give it some texture. It works pretty well but I'm not sure fine sand wouldn't be just as good. I had some Pittsburg Paint Revitalize left from a home improvement project and it did a good job on my diy plywood platform for my Primal Steps.

It’s 3/4 inch and fits perfectly
Sorry, I didn’t read fully to see that you DIDN’T want a tape product. Sorry. This is super sticky and works great though. Would last longer than applied with paint. Used this stuff in the 80’s on skateboards and freestyle bikes!

That came out sweet looking! I may rethink my distrust of the strips.

Thank you! I did go with some sand I grabbed from the neighborhood playground. It's too soon for me to tell if it lasts.

Wrapping in camoform hs been my go too. But if you want paint, I painted my boat floor with a non skid boat paint Cabela’s had years ago. Don’t know if they still have it. It had rubber crumbs in the paint. It worked for a while but eventually wore down. I’m sure west marine will have what you are looking for.
