My aero kestrel came in Friday. My question is it seems like a lot of steps to remember. Climbing sticks, lineman’s belt, platform etc. I’m afraid of forgetting a step. Does it get easier with practice? Thanks

Lots of practice in the yard first on the ground then work your way up until you have all your equipment, set up some targets at random distance and positions around the tree and shoot a lot my son and I do it together he’s 19 and I’m 50 good time together lots of learning and talking through the process helps.

Develop a system and stick with a system. Organize. Get anal about which pocket things go into and don't deviate. Everything has a place. It will become second nature and get smoother each time. Summer is for polishing your system.
I think @DaveT1963 has some decent videos on the importance of being organized to the point he can do everything (climbing, packing, etc) with his eyes closed to simulate doing it in the dark. Got links to those vids, Dave?

It's a super fun way to hunt. It will come naturally as you practice. You'll be able to narrow your system down within the first 3-4 times. After that you'll be finding ways to improve things as you go. It's much easier than you think. This forum is fantastic. Theres basically an idea for everything! Being organized is key, it's also more enjoyable once you get everything dialed in.
