Well, guys Saturday evening I had my target buck (160-ish with a drop tine) walk out in the field about 200 yards away.
I grunted. With the wind in my face and creek at my back he couldn't get behind the area to wind it. So he walked up into a small strip of woods, circled the field and popped out directly across from me.
He walked on a straight line to about 75 yards. Looking around for that buck that just grunted him.
Everything drops off to my left which sets up a perfect shot for me and gave him a place to go to keep looking. But as he got around that 75 yard mark a doe walked out and passed right in front of him. He must have gotten a nose full of love smell. He didn't look back for that buck. Just walked off with her.
