NRS Strap to Daisy Chain

I have a few NRS straps laying around, I'm thinking of dying a few and making my own daisy chain. Before I do that, has anyone converted these straps successfully? I'd like to incorporate the cam buckle already attached but I'm also having a hard time imagining it. Any suggestions on length, method etc? I'm wondering if I can still feed the strap through the cam buckle, even if daisy-chained. Any advice would be great.
