I Finally Caved and Bought a Few Steps for a R.O.S. I Didn't Think Anything Could Be Better Than The Ridge Runner... The Only Thing I Don't Like About a Platform Is The Carrying. These Things are so Light and no Bulk. No More Worry About My Weak Side Shot, Just Walk Around The Tree and Always Shoot Strong Side. Glad I Tried Them and Thanks Out to Nutterbuster.

How many squirrel steps did you get?

Squirrel steps are great! I have been playing with 5 and 6. Five works awesome most of the time.

@Blacksmith Agreed! I bought some of Treehopper’s new Ameristeps replicas for a ring of steps. Love them! I can work all the way around the tree.
I ordered some from Mark before Christmas which delayed the shipping time, so hope it does not take to long to get them, really looking forward to trying them out.

Do you have a link? I can’t seem to find them.

Check out this post. It’s where I learned about them. They are awesome!

If you want to buy them, Mark at Treehopperllc.com is the guy to email. You can use the contact us link on there. He might not have them advertised yet.

If you buy more than three the cost is around $13 each (don’t hold me to that #).

What do the treehopper ones weigh? How wide and long is the step? What is the weight limit?

Have some on the way, so not sure on dimensions, but Mark did tell me that they tested out to 1,000 pounds which is quite a bit more than both bolts and the Ameristep strap on steps.

Careful you don't give him the big head, lol.

I’ve had both the Ameristeps and now Treehoppers. They are compatible in weight and almost the exact same size. I can try to weigh them if you want.

The step itself is around 2” x 5”.

In case you were wondering. I’ve attached photos of my kit. 5 steps on an OCB. A little over 1.5lbs. The only complaint is how they stack on the strap. It’s not tight but I’m ok with it.

That's what I have and like it. The Treehoppers do slip together for packing. The wings slip into slots so they stick together. Now we all have to order new again...……...

Will they stick together while still on the strap?
