Any NY Hunters be sure to email the NYS DEC at WildlifeRegs@dec.ny.gov using "Big Game Hunting Rules" in the subject line and weigh in on the newly proposed expanding the big game start and stop times from the current sunrise to sunset TO: 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. I don't know about your experiences but I sometimes can't believe how much light there is available at sunrise and sunset. Many states already allow this with no increase in hunting related shooting incidents. I say the more time we all have to hunt the better. Know your target and what's beyond it!!

Do you have a link or could you point me in the right direction on where to find what is exactly in these new regs? Thanks, I have looked a few times but always come up short.

I saw the information in the latest NYON paper. I'll see if I can find something on DEC's website.
